The oldest evidence of brewing in Central Europe is from a vessel found in northern Bavaria containing a dark wheat beer. This is a refreshing take on a traditional German wheat beer featuring banana/clove aromas with a touch of toasted malt sweetness.

It is highly recommended to use the liquid yeast strain suggested for this recipe in order to attain results appropriate to the style of beer.

Liquid: Wyeast 3068 Weihenstephan Yeast or 3638 Bavarian Wheat Yeast
